The National veteran supplier DIVERSITY COALITION

WHY BUY VET?

Our goal is to develop mutually beneficial relationships between companies and diverse suppliers, achieved through top-level collaboration, innovation and execution.  Our nation's military produces some of the best entrepreneur's in the country, making partnerships with these firms as suppliers essential to a supplier diversity commitment.

CONNECTING VETERAN SUPPLIERS WITH PROCUREMENT PROFESSIONALS

HOW WE HELP

RECOGNITION OF CORPORATE COMMITMENTS TO DIVERSITY

The NVSDC recognizes companies and organizations that are committed to proactively seeking partnerships with Veteran-owned businesses (VOBs) and Service-disabled Veteran-owned businesses (SDVOBs) with our "Commit to 100" initiative.  This award is earned by spending over $100 million annually with diverse Veteran suppliers.

TRADE SHOWS AND EXHIBITIONS

The best way we can help Veteran entrepreneurs is to give them access to as many opportunities as possible.  So we have created a reverse trade show model based directly around the needs of the Veteran entrepreneurs: affordable, exclusively Veteran-focused, breakout sessions with subject matter experts, and access to a vast network of private companies and government purchasing managers looking to buy from Veteran owned-businesses.

PROMOTION OF SOURCING OPPORTUNITIES

As part of our strategy to increase your diverse supplier network, we seek out, identify and encourage Veteran suppliers on your behalf to compete in your sourcing initiatives. This helps identify qualified Veteran suppliers to partner with and better service your sourcing requirements. This approach has increased our client's diverse supplier network by 60% and created a win-win for our companies and these vendors.

START-UP FUNDING for Veteran Businesses

Many Veteran's would love to transition into owning their own business, but there are virtually no resources to help Veterans that want to run their own business.  The NVSDC is dedicated to increasing the number of VOBs and SDVOBs in the marketplace.  Through corporate partnerships, donations, government grants, and various fundraising initiatives, the NVSDC is able to provide the funding Veteran's need to fund their business through grants.

helping companies meet supplier diversity goals

Is your company or organization looking to increase annual spend with VOBs and SDVOBs?  We work with some of the nation's largest firms to help partner them with a diverse array of Veteran businesses.  If you have a specific initiative, or are interested in building one, our team of procurement professionals are here to assist you!

MENTOR-PROTEGE PROGRAMs

One of the most important aspects for new entrepreneurs being successful is connecting with a strong mentor.  We match senior corporate business owners and executives with the next generation of Veteran start-ups, facilitating the transfer of knowledge these seasoned entrepreneurs have.  We want every Veteran business owner to be wildly successful.
